A highly decorated cannabis specialist, chocolatier, apothecary creator and infusion innovator, Becca Johnson serves as Culinary Director for Edible Solutions. In this role, she formulates and develops a wide range of unique products for companies in the hemp, CBD and cannabis spaces.
Becca brings deep experience assisting cannabis companies nationwide with cultivation, extraction, infusion, formulation, kitchen buildouts and product development. A sought-after consultant, she has helped launch numerous products and brands into the California, Nevada, Arizona and Oregon markets, including the gummy-focused brand Kushly.
Prior to joining Edible Solutions, Becca helped launch The Green Heart Oregon, which held multiple cannabis kitchens, cultivations, manufacturing facilities and a dispensary. She led the edibles division and was responsible for launching several award-winning edibles lines. She also helped The Green Heart open a CBD-focused juice bar as well as the first cashless dispensary in the United States.
Becca has additional experience as a Cultivation Technician for Omaha Farms and Huxton. She also assisted Kiva Confections, one of the largest edibles companies in the nation, with its Arizona expansion and oversaw a team who successfully designed and built a 6,000 sq. ft. edibles kitchen for Damian Marley’s cannabis group in central California.
Further, Becca served as Director of Operations for Flora Apothecary, an Arizona-based producer of handmade, vegan bath and skincare products. She oversaw all product development, formulations and R&D for the company.
Becca started her career as a high-production, small pastries cook and cake decorator in Scottsdale, Ariz., later training and working in some of Arizona’s top restaurants. After gaining a reputation for creating delectable and unique dishes, she began experimenting with infusing cannabis into food. As her interest and technique grew, she began consulting, making baked goods and confections for medical patients and teaching them how to correctly grow, dose and infuse cannabis into food.
Today, Becca is regularly called upon as an industry expert to present her viewpoints and experiences on educational panels, and she has been featured at the High Times Cannabis Cup, Cannabis Grand Cru and HempFest. Her products have also been showcased in Culture Magazine and Dope Magazine.
